Pre-Kindergarten
Our Pre-Kindergarten team is pleased to have each and every one of you in our classrooms. We will strive to have a successful year and ask that you follow our classroom rules. We look forward to working with you and your parents. We hope to learn from each other and grow together as a family. Teaching is a cooperative partnership between teachers, students and parents, together we can reach success.
Our Pre-K Classroom Rules:
Use walking feet, inside voices, and listening ears
Keep hands and feet to his/herself
Be a good friend
Be a good learner
Be respectful to classmates and the teacherConduct Procedures:
Conduct folders will be sent home at least twice a week. Green, yellow and red conduct faces are used to denote levels of behavior. For behavior problems, notes or calls will be made as needed. Please sign and return conduct folders promptly.
Consequences:
Timeouts, loss of recess or center time, notes, calls home to parents, and possible loss of field lessons or extra curricular activities.
Homework:
Reading logs will be kept inside of student’s folder for parents to read to their children 20 minutes a day. These logs must be signed and returned inside of student folders daily.
Recess:
Pre-K students will have a 20 minute recess daily.
Field Lessons:
Pre-K will have 4-5 field lessons a year. Only those parents that are registered through VIPS can help chaperone (please no siblings).
